The coop have recently hightlighted the issues surrounding executor liability. In an article earlier this year the legal arm of the Co-operative drew attention to some of the problems that executors can run into, from identifying assets to dealing with beneficiaries. They explained that executors can be held personally liable for any mistakes they make in the distribution and management of an estate, meaning that any successful claim would come out of the executors pocket and not the estate.
